Oh yeah the pirate of the storm, I totally know that dude.
Went to college with him n'shit. pretty sweet bloke.
Iâm sure those speculations on the Pirate of the Storm are completely and utterly accurate.
Calling it now - the left one, the one with a bedhead is a relative of the Emperor.
shes good but im gona guess shes not good enouf to survive that giant laser
Yep, totally not a problem.
Domestic? I can't think of one.
She was made of gold when she got hit, chances are she survived just fine.
made of gold or not by the miracle she survived she was knocked out and fell in the sea. i say this and i admit i would love to see her again but only if neorice saves her because plot reasons otherwise shes dead to me
That's when we assume the LighthouseDeathRay -or LDR for short- is Magic.
I can confirm it's magic.
The lighthouse basically amplifies the judge's (and all others with access to his power source) attack by a ridiculous amount.
In theory gold would mitigate it, but it's not a cure-all.
I'm going to say alive too.
No body, no death. It's fiction-101.
Plus, I thought she was cool, so I want her to come back.
Iâm sure their info will be updated once Guy returns from his mission.
But doesn't gold only suppress Spirit magic, and isn't that only natural gold? Pretty sure someone turned to gold by Midas should have absolutely no protection against a giant death ray.
So Ariara was not a pirate queen, but a drag queen all along? A fishy person indeed.
i hope she's dead, she had enough time to shine already
let's see some other top ranked magic users
Funny thing about matter-obliterating magical death rays...they tend to not leave a body behind for confirmation of death.
I would rather not have her survive "for plot reasons" as those always seem a bit deflating. On the other hand, she was swinging some serious mojo at the time, and there is the matter of a certain sword... and I do rather like the idea of her being alive in general.
I wouldrather not have her die based upon her due allotment of screentime. I will... concede that narrative structure might have "some" value as... "spice" to a story, but it still resolves down to things happening for reasons not related to in-story factors, which is everything that is wrong with Deus-ex-machina...
More to the point though, she is a pirate, and we have yet to see her ship nor crew. You can't have a pirate without a pirate ship! We haven't even seen her black flag! And the whole "hit by a giant laser" thing is a perfect opportunity for her to get a peg-leg and eyepatch! And she could probably do terrifying things with a mechanical bird considering her powers...
Burk, on the other hand, we have seen plenty of, more than plenty if you don't appreciate the "pantsless man" thing.
No, it is time for Arianna to see the giant death-laser for what it is, a reminder that with the support of the people, you are alone, and you cannot endure alone. She will take up the mantle of hero! Burk will be besotted by the "reformed and good-natured pirate" trope as soon as he sees the peg-leg etc... and hears a swarthy speech and become the first-mate. Together they will lead The Pantsless Pirates(they gave up after the eighth time a freak series of events deprived them of lower coverings.) to topple the corrupt tyrants of the world and loot their booty to feed the destitute!
Ariara, the pirate of the storm! Such a cool name, I really hope she is still alive and plot relevant.
@Saiko Her and Princess probably go to the club on Wednesdays.
"spitless" history? Spotless, probably.
If Ariara is made of gold and she was blasted into the sea, wouldn't she just sink to the bottom of the ocean due to her weight?
what is every body talking about?
a lighthouse? a lazer? gold pirate?
did i miss something??
You know how there are three characters in the sidebar? That's not three different comics. It's one comic that switches between protagonists.
ik i was just getting bored of burk and i happened to skip forward right before it got LITT with the pirate stone golem battle thing, so i missed it but i went back and figured it out and i am glad i did :)
