Hrrm... are they even sure the blue kid is with Malhart? I mean, if you're deserting, lying about where you intend to go seems smart.
Even if he lacks magic altogether, if the punishment for desertion is the same as the punishment for being a magic user, there's no extra risk.
So he's not Hevel's bro. Well, maybe the Empire has just a crappy metallurgy, or the prison builder was skimping on materials.
How do they know the thief is in any way associated with the painter vandal? Maybe he died of overdose in the ditch somewhere...
Oh dear, Pirate of the Storm's brother?
He's an earth bender with the ability to bend metal as well! :)
So they are well aware that it is not all kids. Hmm and someone known for protecting magic users would of course have magic users come and join him, he might have quite a few supporters by now.
Can we negotiate the "DELETED" thing? Spambots also need some luving!
So the empire lets them smoke for their mugshots? That's surprisingly lenient of them. :P
but how do they know he escaped to malhart?
@Whisper of Sorrow
By lying in this manner, if he get's caught he is assumed to hold valuable knowledge. If he THEN claims he doesn't know, the whole "make people talk" parts starts. Followed, of course, by execution.
I'd call that an extra risk :)
That hat looks familiar somehow...
