So, to answer the question I posed in regards to yesterday's strip: Yes, Timmy IS using magic to fly. And this really did turn out to be quite embarrassing for him.

1: why would sparing an murderous, sadistic monster be prove of a good character?
2: Timmy is using magic to fly, not to keep his head from exploding. He might be able to put enough pressure on it to crush him from the outside, but smacking it against the ceiling is probably just simpler.
3: what makes you think he will spare him? Noel said on page 2185 that nightmares do not deserve mercy due to being incredibly evil. He might ask Timmy some questions first, but he is going to kill him.

Noel's statement in the last panel isn't *quite* accurate. We can see from http://www.neorice.com/hoh_1340 that Gazz's magic was beyond noel's ability to effectively stop.
