I have faith.

Dammit Halmer, what did I just tell you guys last page!?

31374: Carolina Reaper - Monday, May 2 2022 - 12:05 AM

damn those legs have the absolute worst form and yet somehow managed to do such precise damage. the miracle of nature

31375: Grumbus - Monday, May 2 2022 - 12:22 AM

Chekov's pants.

31376: Aston Whiteman - Monday, May 2 2022 - 12:23 AM

I think Legs saved them all as Halmer was infected...

31377: random - Monday, May 2 2022 - 1:05 AM

After a brief moment of delusional hope, reality KICKED IN.

31378: Tnoz - Monday, May 2 2022 - 1:22 AM

And this is why you don't jinx it.

31379: Daran - Monday, May 2 2022 - 1:25 AM

Halmer, Nooooooooooooooo!
This just broke my heart.

So the legs move if no one is watching them. Noah got lucky way back then.

31380: noname - Monday, May 2 2022 - 1:30 AM

...okay, but why tho? Like, I knew those legs were going to kill SOMEONE eventually, but given that she had just killed #1 and had been standing to the far left all this time, I was really sorta expecting them to kill Sezah... So why did they go for Halmer? Was he just too good to live?

31381: Tom - Monday, May 2 2022 - 1:57 AM

I... got no words.

31382: Classified - Monday, May 2 2022 - 2:11 AM

Wait what? Wasn’t Noel just looking at it?

31383: Anonymous Person - Monday, May 2 2022 - 2:27 AM

Are you going to kill EVERY fan favorite?

31384: Obilisk - Monday, May 2 2022 - 3:50 AM

I wonder if it is something like those legs only targeting people who are optimistic. It'd make sense a nightmare like that wouldn't be active most of the time in this nightmare hell.

31385: TheMegax - Monday, May 2 2022 - 4:18 AM

This is... a problem

31386: Potatopeelerkind - Monday, May 2 2022 - 4:19 AM

Does anyone even have a plan for what they're going to do if they do reach her?

It's been mentioned several times since this whole thing began, but it's ridiculous Malhart didn't have any contingency here for if he died. Like, what if he'd had a heart attack? Surely they could have found some black crystal or something.

31387: Baprr - Monday, May 2 2022 - 5:02 AM

I WARNED YOU

31388: Info - Monday, May 2 2022 - 5:13 AM

@obilisk I agree. As soon as they gain hope, the legs *kick* in

31389: Eight - Monday, May 2 2022 - 6:27 AM

There shall be a Halmer Bridge, too.

31390: TaranAlvein - Monday, May 2 2022 - 7:36 AM

Man, he survived all of that, only to get Samuel L. Jackson'd. Poor Halmer, the only reasonable authority figure the Empire has ever had.

31391: Greg the not nightmare - Monday, May 2 2022 - 7:52 AM

Oh wow is this is the dark souls of web comics, everyone dies.

31392: Feddlefew - Monday, May 2 2022 - 8:04 AM

Im starting to think the more mindless nightmares might exclusively target potential threats to Chernyl. If the spirit attached to Chernyl is similar to Ceil, then their primary objective is keeping their host alive. But almost everyone in the empire, sans malhart and his magical orphans, is a threat.

Legs could have attacked earlier but waited until the bombs were neutralize , and the heart lurking on the ceiling back when ex number 1 got death stared should have attacked Noel and Noah. I fully expect this to get disproven but its an interesting trend.

31393: Chase - Monday, May 2 2022 - 8:10 AM

Knew it.

31394: Whim - Monday, May 2 2022 - 8:27 AM

Legginess strikes again...

31395: Deliverance - Monday, May 2 2022 - 9:50 AM

No wonder Noah looks stupefied by the latest development.

1) Why didn't this kick break Halmar's neck and fling him to the ground, as one would expect when it was hit by a broad blunt object?

2) Which part of the straight horizontal kick that cut through Halmar's neck imparted upwards momentum to the head?

3) Why was no momentum imparted to the body?

The mystery of the physics defying legs deepens!

31397: JBloodthorn - Monday, May 2 2022 - 11:07 AM

He shouldn't have said "JSP" three times in a row.

31398: Aston Whiteman - Monday, May 2 2022 - 11:47 AM

Wait, wait. Did Noah just gain a side kick?

31399: Questionable Intent - Monday, May 2 2022 - 12:33 PM

I called it, but still. Too soon. Where the heck are those legs running off to anyways?

31400: Briggs - Monday, May 2 2022 - 1:24 PM

Of course...

31401: LOCKTYDE - Monday, May 2 2022 - 1:35 PM

*Weeps openly while shaking fist at sky and screaming* "LLLEEEEGSSS!"

31402: Questionable Intent - Monday, May 2 2022 - 3:03 PM

I called it, but still. Too soon. Where the heck are those legs running off to anyways?

31403: Paintr - Monday, May 2 2022 - 5:19 PM

I suspect given how the legs continued past Noel that the legs are incredibly strong when unobserved, such that if it can build up enough momentum before being seen it can keep going.

31404: Diju - Monday, May 2 2022 - 6:15 PM

I just realized the eyes were all staring at Halmer

31405: Franz - Monday, May 2 2022 - 6:40 PM

@Deliverance go back to your train toy, Sheldon...

31406: Whispers of Sorrow - Monday, May 2 2022 - 8:50 PM

Oh no. :( I blame the JSP for this, if only they hadn't distracted him so badly. Are we sure that entire organisation isn't one of Chernyl's nightmares?

31407: EstherTb - Monday, May 2 2022 - 8:51 PM

It's like Kars. A million tiny blades that look like a blunt object but can slice someone up.

31408: A L T - Monday, May 2 2022 - 9:43 PM

anyone remember those masses of eyes visible in the latter section being here last time?
