combined bomb and bunker that explodes, destroying everything except the bunker-portion of itself, once there are two people inside it.
alternatively the "002" refers to attempts at a code, which must be typed on the four red buttons. maybe it's an elevator if you succeed and a bomb if you fail.
or a hybrid of the two; it only stores as many people as you had attempts left.

I hope Tobi's decision of turning her back to and walking away from the recently risen dark ominous chamber with an open door that leads underground isn't followed by a decision not to tell the others about it immediately. Sure, beastgirl found something flashier, but its door's closed. Having an open door that leads to someplace unknown at your back is a bad idea.
