All downhill from here ...

Go Noah! You can do it!

11812: Chrones - Monday, February 6 2017 - 12:45 AM

Poor Mirrors, not only is he being ranked lowest, and also embarrassed. He also lost his sweet ol' nickname Windows :c Maybe he just needs time to reflect.

11813: Pomme de terre - Monday, February 6 2017 - 12:52 AM

No! Noah don't believe his lies!

11814: whitemanpt - Monday, February 6 2017 - 1:06 AM

mirrors is better then short fuse at least

11815: Browser - Monday, February 6 2017 - 1:13 AM

Is he blushing?

11816: Tom - Monday, February 6 2017 - 1:30 AM

Is Noah blushing?

Either way, he got upgraded from "windows" to "mirrors".

11817: Whispers of Sorrow - Monday, February 6 2017 - 1:55 AM

Yeah Noah, you can do iiiiiiiiiiiit! You can dooooooo iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!!!!

I'm sort of weirdly impressed with his attitude in all honesty, that's some serious dedication to inaction.

And it looks like the ball bouncing off his head required magic use on his part, so if he does take action, he should be good enough to down Felix at least.

Could the 'airhead' girl be a Pandemonium type? You'd think she'd have some idea if she'd used magic potential during the elf invasion.

11818: verycoolname - Monday, February 6 2017 - 2:21 AM

@Tom The upgrade means that people know at least a little bit on how part of his power works...

11819: Neoriceisgood - Monday, February 6 2017 - 2:51 AM

@Verycoolname

Considering Noah was talking to his own reflection in the window, it's more spitballing by Garth who's not great at remembering his own nicknames.

11820: Epsiloh - Monday, February 6 2017 - 3:42 AM

Be honest Neo did you forget Noah's original nickname when making this?

11821: Neoriceisgood - Monday, February 6 2017 - 4:23 AM

@Epsiloh

.... yes >_>

In my defence, none of my proof readers pointed it out either.

11822: J - Monday, February 6 2017 - 4:38 AM

Lets be honest. Everyone knew Noah was going to end up at the bottom.

11823: Birdy - Monday, February 6 2017 - 4:48 AM

If it's any consolation, she might just not have solidified the nickname for Noah. :p

11824: DocStranger - Monday, February 6 2017 - 5:42 AM

That look on Noah's face is like "hello darkness, my old friend"...

11825: 5 - Monday, February 6 2017 - 5:50 AM

What's up with Airhead 's mouth on panel 3 ? It looks really weird.

11826: Pablo360 - Monday, February 6 2017 - 6:50 AM

*aggressively starts shipping*

11827: John - Monday, February 6 2017 - 7:22 AM

I mean...
If Noah never gets up he can't give other people points?
This might be a valid strategy near the end.

11828: Bisected - Monday, February 6 2017 - 8:12 AM

Noah can't take friendship, you fool!

I wish I had Airhead's hair...

11829: Cellphone - Monday, February 6 2017 - 1:20 PM

Could you maybe elaborate (for neorice) / speculate (for the audience) on the uses/what they are of each of the first 4 techniques? If the ball specifically reacts in programmed ways, it's not the best way to figure it all out. And how do the "Spirit Summon" and "Spirit Ease" form each technique?

11830: Neoriceisgood - Monday, February 6 2017 - 2:09 PM

@Cellphone

question 1:
What they can do to the ball, they could technically do to any magical object/creation. This is part of why Ariara could tank the shit out of the Judge's attacks for example.

The ball's mostly designed to get the kids familiar with using spirit when e.g. lifting/manipulating something rather than raw muscle strength.

question 2:

Spirit summon/ease are basically the on/off switch for spirit use.

Being able to wield that simple aspect well means you can quickly switch between techniques & spirit / non-spirit activities.

11831: Zed - Monday, February 6 2017 - 6:52 PM

So that arm of hers is a "magic object/creation" that let her use her spirit more efficiently?

That would explain why she was upset it got busted, rather than being like "Wow I'm so glad I survived that plot cannon!"

11832: Exasperation - Monday, February 6 2017 - 11:24 PM

@John
I considered suggesting earlier that Noah might try the "stay on the ground" tactic for just that reason, but I figured the flaw is that someone might get violent to "encourage" him to stand back up and be scored against.

11833: Saiko - Tuesday, February 7 2017 - 3:41 AM

Noah has experience in dwelling underground. I honestly don't think he cares. Maybe it is even better to him than more sport activities.

11834: nitro - Tuesday, February 7 2017 - 2:27 PM

actually impretty sure the arm is where the metal-bending power came from, like maybe a sort of electromagnetic field thingy

11835: Goblin Scribe - Tuesday, February 7 2017 - 6:16 PM

I like that "that airhead girl" doesn't even get a nickname.
