Why Burk ... ?

Yeah Pablo, stick to the plan!

JUDGE DREDD

As cool as the judge looks in this shot I am fairly sure he is powerless without his tailsman so freeing him is pointless

Also @Neorice was that a costume change or an art upgrade because all I can see now is Ariara trying to change the Judges clothes while he struggles

Burk hits harder than he should...? It doesn't seem like he's using any magic or spirit art, though.

Huh.

The Judge looks odd without his cloak.

Aw, I was hoping panel four would show her smacking herself in the face with her own I-beam.

The best way to score that goal would be kicking it in the ball, I think.

Burk's legs aren't tiny, they're Burk sized!

In panel 7 I can't tell if Pablo looks sad because he thinks Burke might die or if he looks disappointed because he had hoped that Burke's plan might not immediately involve violence.

@Scarred Wrable
Ariara stole the Judge's stole

The big question now is: will Burk have his pants on the next time we see him?

12683: Saiko - Monday, May 15 2017 - 11:56 AM

Pablo really cares about his original task, that is resolving some bandit problem (or rather missing people, but we can assume it's caused by the bandits). He doesn't really require Judge's magic, only his authority. Because the Judge is the top official in the area, as long as the mage baron stays dead. I suppose Pablo may also score some points with the local government by freeing the judge. So he should do it.

@leo
But correct me If I am wrong His armor was what she used to control him so if she had stolen it then would he not be free to just leave ?

unless that suit he wears is also metal and she can control that as well hmm

@Tom if I had to guess Burke must have something in common with the Justonian Empire's Royal guard. They don't use magic either and are able to fight against magic users. However most of what we've seen them do indicates that they are super fast and able to strike before a magic user can react, but we haven't seen them actually negate a magic user's defenses. Still, it's a possibility.

@scarred wrable
She is puppeting the metal he is wearing. As long as he is wearing that it doesn't matter whether or not he still has a fancy cape/stole. She is gonna have him locked down tight.

Stoles are cloth so unless she can manipulate dipoles they are beyond her magnet powers.

just noticed: burk has things that may or may not be metal on his clothes
