Let's randomly assert that Felix is in the top left bunker.

Hrrm, so time to find his classmates(and Garth) then? I wonder how well the others are doing.

15367: Brilliand - Thursday, December 21 2017 - 2:17 AM

Fives!

The map looks like four dice with the 5 side up.

Were there really twenty kids in this class? No, I think some of those bunkers are going to be empty.

Why would anyone build their bunkers in such a pattern?

15368: Brilliand - Thursday, December 21 2017 - 2:20 AM

ALL THINGS HAPPEN IN FIVES, OR ARE DIVISIBLE BY OR ARE MULTIPLES OF FIVE, OR ARE SOMEHOW DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY APPROPRIATE TO 5.

The number 5 will somehow be crucial to figuring out the location of each kid. The pattern of that map proves it!

Let's hope Noah doesn't...bunk this test!

next step : finding garth or veda

When lesson is becoming too boring, it's time to play battleship...

Well, now I know how this works. Finding the glove is the method of finding other people, and the next assignment must be to do your best to pinpoint the locations of everyone else while doing your best not to give away anything that identifies you. You can't tell the difference between a "severed hand" and a spirit glove, so it seems the only way to make yourself identifiable is having something special nearby or being felix

I take it that the other dots are the positions of the other Bunkers, and that Noah needs to work out where everyone else is, preferably by telling who each of them are?

15374: Darius Drake - Thursday, December 21 2017 - 4:22 AM

...I forgot to mention. I suspect that Felix will pass the first trial simply by guessing random things 50 times, some of which were random repeats (like him guessing nail clippers 3 or more times).

15375: someone - Thursday, December 21 2017 - 5:11 AM

Good thing most people have distinctive silhouettes, so that even in a monochrome spirit vision that lets you confuse a glove for a severed hand, you can probably make the difference between Felix and Garth.

That is, if you actually have any capability for remembering what people look like, which we know isn't Noah's strong suit.

This just keeps getting better and better. Seriously, I could read a comic based JUST on Noah training.

15377: Atlas - Thursday, December 21 2017 - 11:44 AM

Wait so there are a total of 19 students... that is more then i thought

15378: Chameon - Thursday, December 21 2017 - 1:45 PM

@Atlas: At a guess, teach left some false bunkers in there so you couldn't just blind guess which bunkers were where. It'd be low odds, but I believe there are about half that many students, so if it was just an ordering problem, guessing 8 students positions on the map would not be impossible, it'd be 8 1/8 chances to come up correct blindly.

12.5% chance 8 times is something you can succeed at, especially considering the odds get better each time you succeed. Especially considerring that even the least competent person in the group is probably going to detect Felix in the first 5 seconds, as I'm pretty sure Felix is going to be surging for the next hour.
