Guys, somehow I doubt the thesis statement is gonna be "so be grateful for how good you've got it".

And that is the horror of the purge. It's not all guys like the purple beast/knight, arrogantly howling in fury at the thought of a government existing, it's mostly frightened children and innocents with weak abilities or no idea what they're doing.

So many people getting slaughtered in droves, because one of them *might* grow up to threaten the power of the purgers.
