I didn't do anything.

If you ever told Sky Chaser to his face he kinda looks like Morty, he'd look slightly annoyed and then proceed to ignore you.

'Good job pet. Good job.'

44041: someone - Monday, October 14 2024 - 2:13 AM

He does look like Morty if Morty wasn't a simpering nerd. And had a blueish skin tone.

...I can't possibly be faceblind for sprite comics, wtf.

You were just what, Morty? Following orders? It turns out that excuse really doesn't work in any world. Your best bet now is to be really useful because I'm pretty sure nobody is going to notice if you disappear.

@Mars you should go back and try to find all the Pale Children. Red Hair, Pointy Noses, Pale skin. There's a few.

Hopefully, what follows is something along the line of "I have absolutely no interest in any of your excuses, so spare us both the time and breath by not giving me any."

44047: someone - Monday, October 14 2024 - 11:00 AM

@Syhkane: I can only think of two: Sky Cleaver aka Logan Alexander, and Sky Chaser.

Morty has red hair and a pointy nose, but he doesn't have a remarkably pale skin. Felix also has red hair and pointy nose, and is also not a pale child.

I don't know if the similarities between the hero names Sky Cleaver and Sky Chaser are significant or not, we'd need to see more pale children of Heroland to be sure. Sky Stroke is definitely not a pale child, though.

Noses are similarly pointy (not to say spiky), hair also, and both have glasses. I have noticed the similarity even before reading author's note.

I suppose though, that the resemblance is only superficial, and Morty will learn this quickly.

It was also mentioned that the pale children can "influence their direct environment in ways most magic users would be undeniably envious of", something Morty didn't display at all. It IS where Logan's weather manipulation comes from, most likely.

An interesting bit about that description is - the wording implies that what pale children do is different from "magic" as defined in the setting. Thus Logan's abilities might not fall into the established magic system.

@someone we just saw another one, Pompstar is clearly a pale children too.

44051: Welf - Monday, October 14 2024 - 2:27 PM

@someone The pale children have been explained in Tobi's story line in comic 2145. On a certain day all children were born with pale skin and red hair, and have the ability to influence the weather.

Another one is apparently the Red Queen, the leader of the Global Order's paladin unit. See comic 2142

@Welf
And the Blue Bird from page 2144 seems to be one of the pale children as well

44053: Paintr - Monday, October 14 2024 - 4:26 PM

Morty seems like the sort of person who needs a strong figure in their life.

44054: SBA - Monday, October 14 2024 - 10:42 PM

Also Mr. Memphis (the Gentleman Hero) seems to be a pale child too.
