I wonder who's got Evyle's arm in a box somewhere.

Oh poor poor Pavlo you had to taunt Murphy. Then again we already know they'll run into a less then positive receptive, but you can always make it worse by taunting Murphy ALWAYS.

Makes you wonder how powerful Livarall's forces are if Pablo is saying that after having witnessed some of the fights that he has.

Yeah, the ghoul head back in the Pig Caves...
I guess dismemberment is a somewhat known way to fend ghouls off.(?)
Gotta enjoy Pablo's patriotism though, at least before they get smashed by that Rock Guy. One wonders how the Livarian army is anyway, with all the gadgets and all given to their diplomats.

So far, Pablo has had a strong faith that his country will always be right and do the right thing, but I'm feeling like his patriotism may be shaken soon.

It's sad, but I can't really argue with it: The more cynical an outlook I take, the more accurately I've been able to predict irl events... The last 20 years or so have felt like one long lesson on the subject and, as it turns out, I'm actually an idealist at heart; I was never able to muster up quite enough cynicism to predict just how horribly the people in power are willing to eff up the world and everyone in it for their own personal gain... (My current prediction: The US is planning on turning Europe into a proxy for their imperialist war on China in order to preserve US global hegemony and prevent the formation of a multi-polar world.)
In this case it feels like Pablo is setting himself up for eating his own words. He's way too pleased and proud over how good and perfect Livarall supposedly is compared to all other places in the world... Wagering a guess, he's going to get out of this situation with a MUCH more cynical view of his beloved country... I wonder if Evyle is going to get out of it feeling a hint of sympathy for him and his dashed idealism, or if she's going to lean fully into the sole satisfaction of the cynic: Getting to tell the optimist "I told you so." (It is, imo, a bitter satisfaction.)
