If I recall correctly, all ghouls we have seen so far have one horn and hands, while this revenant has no horns and hooks for hands, so revenants are probably not ghouls.

I'm afraid that even with their finest hats and immaculately groomed facial hair the police will be no match for this thing!

That said it seems really strange to see something from the dark continent just walk into Livarall. Is that normal? Do they just blow in like tumbleweeds from time to time? Maybe they too admire birds of all kinds.
