Hey, I'm first!
Also holy shit, what a fuck up way to die!
Schplat is a weird name for a girl.
...well, THAT wasn't what I expected to happen here. People starting to die left and right all of a sudden. Will they even get to examine the body? So many secrets we'll now never get to know...
I wonder if the question should've been phrased differently?
Like: "If you were to be silent, then list all major crimes you've committed that you can honestly disclose without some weird rule causing an adverse condition, what would that sound like?".
Hey, I'm second!
Also, yeah, jeez louise
at least let the man get his final words out, right?
placing bets that his daughter is in the room
Huh. I usually like Tobi arcs, but the battle royale game is running pretty long, and we still haven't learned much about either Tobi or the side characters.
I also think it's kinda awful he didn't get his daughter's name out.
How incriminating could a simple "yes" or "no" be? I wasn't that curious about him before, but now I am!
So was his rule something like "if you say anything that can reveal your identity you lose"?
Some people have the same colour or something and share each other's fates right? Did anyone share his?
And Mr.Green had no chance to ask the question... Apparently, Smile had some very restraining rules, maybe hinted at by his suit.
Also, it's the first participant killed by the hosts, right?
BTW, panel 7 shouldn't it be "the man asked the question"?
I'm aghast and confused.
Did he SCHPLAT because he didn't answer the question, or because something in his suit prevented him from talking about his daughter?
Do they have bombs in their heads?!
I'm with you in this, it makes a lot of sense. That's probably why he was so adamant about answering any kind of question
that would be a bizarre expectation on behalf of the cop, there's no way any normal person would add that clause without having seen the future.
Well.... Iâm just going to hazard a guess and say he probably didnât kill any of the contestants or Infinite. Despite his... lack of an answer.
Alright, so if the host says literally anything after this, we know that was just some guy in a suit wearing a mask.
Which was already what we figured, to be fair, but it'll be nice to have confirmation.
Wow, WTF. I guess we at least know he was human, probably...?
Why couldn't he just answer the question? It couldn't reveal that much, could it? And couldn't those Smile bastards let him finish his last words, come on.
I bet the cop feels at least a little guilty, even if he didn't know what would happen.
Looks like the hosts added a nobody from the street in despair need for money, giving him ridicules difficult constraints (literally) just for their bloody entertainment. I hope things go sideways for them at some point somehow.
I absolutely love this arc. Its so well written, and honestly I come back to this comic just because how good this arc is
That explains why the person being interrogated is put inside a glass room. Less mess to clean up
Wow, didn't see this coming. Poor one to be killed so cruel... :O
Another thing: three shouldn't end up in that place.
HOW did they make Smiley SCHPLAT like that?! Neither the visual effect nor the sound effect makes me think it was a bomb, so... magic of some kind?
Smile sticks to what they say, but are semi-arbitary when dealing with exceptions. Three might be exploded, or maybe Smile will count the static as a valid answer.
There is a chance infinite died by a similar way, but being blamed for vy the contestants. Donganronpa anuone?
Pop! Goes the dummy~
Me thinks nearly nothing can destroy Three (except himself), so its somewhat safe? Kinda I hope? Anyways, he would be in hot water with Smile if he can't answer anything and doesn't die afterwards.
Kinda like what happened with Tobi previously(https://neorice.com/hoh_tobi_1141)
Next chapter is Noah's based on the banner... about to get eaten by Chernyl's nightmares
he's referring on how the cop already said "no" to the bribe when smilebro asks if he'll take the money a second time
Wow, I did NOT expect that. OO
Btw, in panel seven, shouldn't it be "the man asked a question", rather than "the man answered the question"? It seems more logical this way, since it's followed by the order to "answer it"
So it seems next chapter, Smile man's hidden rule will be revealed. This will be fun.
How about: he's a ghoul who can reform back to life just fine, and exploded on purpose?
In the context of the sentence, "asked" makes more sense. The other guy answered nothing. He wasn't asked about money at all.
@paintr Theoretically, it might be possible for 3 to use gestures and have Tobi translate the answers⦠theoretically, at least.
