I can't find a reference to the surnames of Alex or Fuuka, but I can't really see why the Radar would be grouped with one of them. Cherry on the other hand, is the second best at spirit sight and has been paired off with him once before (on the train to Haven).

I like the potential sympathy that could develop here between the Royal Guard and the kids. Assuming things are about to get a lot worse for everyone with the JSP around, I could see our drunk boy's comment here being foreshadowing of an informal alliance based on a mutual bully.

That being said, you don't get to be on the Royal Guard by not believing in the Emperor or his bigoted ideology at least a little. Guy was the closest we've gotten so far to someone ready to question the regime, and they sent that dude to a different *storyline* they were so pissed.

@Gobo: IIRC, Royal Guards are essentially trained from birth, so Eloy and all the others are likely to be extremely indoctrinated.

At the same time, it's clear that the Emperor isn't an absolute ruler, and there are multiple parties vying for power in the Empire. The relationship between the JSP and the Guards has clearly been established as conflictual (and I suspect part of it is that the JSP can't actually harm or detain a Royal Guard without *extremely* sound reason, since they are the Emperor's personal bodyguards and enforcers). So while they might all generally agree with imperial policies, it doesn't mean that different branches of the state, military and police cannot dislike each other.

Honestly, these JSP seem a lot smarter than the previous ones.

I have a little issue taking them at face value but thats probably the meds wearing off. They could be utterly honest, could be a debrief, could be nothing more then taking them to they're respective classes or it could be an interrogation or even just sorting them into the let them live and lets shoot them in the face pile, kinda depends on who Miss Silkhand is. If its Cherry I won't worry so much if its Alex thhheeen I'm gonna start worrying.
