Of course you have, Ciel... Still, let Noah decide if there are any places he's personally feeling interested by... heh, Noah being interested in a place other than "my bed with a good book"; that'll be the day...

Noah finally remembered to spawn in his bomb collar, if only for the sake of fitting in.

Also, something random: In the previous page, she stated that if students lose their map, they can't get another one for free. This means they'll need to pay for another one. And since they are restricted to living on the ship, this implies they will have something akin to either part time jobs or an allowance. This also implies a funny little economy among silly children forming in the near future.

Yes Noah, you can trust your good friend Ciel!

Absolutely ridiculous expenditure of money for something so grand and impractical.

The only thing this ship is missing is a swimming pool on a yacht, in another swimming pool on another yacht, on an artificial lake. Then again, there does seem to be a lake here (lakes have a minimum size, it may not make the cut), so maybe they have that.

Where did the Empire find this leviathan? There's no way they built it.

Cool map!

52313: Whispers of Sorrow - Tuesday, September 8 2026 - 7:50 AM

@Leo: Are maps really that bad? Or if you mean the Arc itself... well the End of the World™ is right around the corner, so... this seems like a *great* ship to have. Bit of a mistake to use it as a training ship and not as a refuge mind.

@Zed

Oh, heck yeah! Looking forward to the Students Working Part-time Jobs And Dodging Death minisaga!

The Wild Area is split into 5 parts, which I will call Zone's 0 through to 4. Zone 0 being the "unnamed" half where the only "wild danger" is the magic users.

Zone 0 includes the School, the Lake/pool, the Pseudo-Town, whatever is behind the speech bubble and a few other things.

Zones 1 through 4 are, presumably, increasing in the wildness each stage. I presume that Zone 1 is mostly tamed, with the expectation that the magic user's will be going wild with their powers. Basic Physical, Magical and other Training would, presumably, be occurring there.

Zone 2 includes a Simulated City. So I'm presuming it's for more specialised training. Combat in all environments, and would have the occasional non-dangerous wild animal.

Zone 3 is where the wild area actually starts. A "lightly forested" area, this is for learning how to camp and keep watch safely. Please note, there are animals that will happily eat humans there, as well as venomous snakes, spiders and the like. The intention IS still to train you here, though.

Zone 4 is the "Danger Zone". Heavily forested, filled with dangerous animals of all types, if you're entering here there's only a few possible reasons. Most of which are "You upset someone, but not enough for them to have an excuse to blow your head off". Well, there is also the "Practice in fighting Elves in their Forests" reason, but that's not relevant anytime soon.
