The closest thing we got is Maria's speech on 4120. She states that Smile is trying to figure out ways to deal with supernatural in general - ghouls, spirits and such. But she also admits one page prior that she doesn't exactly have full information, so who knows how much of that is accurate.

Normally the egg comes first, the chick later, not the other way around.

TBH @Whispers of Sorrow im confused why you have a problem with Shalhia. Tobi is unconscious in a room filling with black water. What would you expect Shalhia to do?

@MountainEucalyptus: Shalhia entered this death game with the specific intent of kidnapping Tobi(after an earlier attack was thwarted by ghouls), lied about being a cleaner when she's actually a saboteur and is obviously insane. Why are you giving her any credit, for anything?

Regardless of her reasons, I do think Shalhia would have likely died if she picked up Tobi with her arms. I can't imagine that Tobi's outfit is completely without Black Water.

@Whispers of Sorrow because she’s one of the few people in the game, much less Lorg, who sees innate value in human life, and has put her own life on the line countless times to protect those around her.

Shalhia might be an antagonist to Tobi’s goals of freedom, but at no point has she revealed herself as anything other than of strong moral fiber, even in this page where she’s willing to accept her own potential demise if it helps protect the world at large.

And I can't forget, madness induced by the forbidden stuff in the evil mine is DEFINITELY a no-no so therefore this character has no redeeming qualities.

Lord Infinite did more to save lives in this death game than Shalhia has and was helping the weak and downtrodden (for example, Binky). @someone: I don't really see how this big picture of yours justifies kidnapping Tobi.
