Please celebrate your success after you've actually escaped the Death Maze. If you do it before you're just tempting fate.

Mark of death for the yuri ig
47385: Whispers of Sorrow - Friday, June 13 2025 - 2:35 AM
Well that's a doom flag if ever I've seen one. "And in a two days, when I retire...".
47386: que - Friday, June 13 2025 - 2:40 AM
nice, death flag waving romance stuff, just in time for pride month.
..also, why's the beast woman carrying that statue around, again?
47387: Hamste - Friday, June 13 2025 - 3:48 AM
The statue is worth a ton so she is bringing it with her. As a bonus it is a heavy thing her hair can throw.
47388: Daran - Friday, June 13 2025 - 3:48 AM
Levin'special rule doesn't let him leave alone apparently.
Mr. Green's special rule only lets him leave last.
Levin and Mr Green will probably be the last two and stuck together and both can never leave :D
I don't know if Heusten could kill everyone as his rule or if it was Mr. Green. If it was Mr. Green - he might have to Kill Levin to be able to leave.
47389: Brilliand - Friday, June 13 2025 - 4:20 AM
@que The statue was supposed to be converted to cash if she carries it to the "exit". I suspect that might mean the *maze* exit that she bypassed... but it might mean this one, it's worth a try. (And even if she missed the chance to cash it in... hey, it's still made of gold.)
47390: Tom - Friday, June 13 2025 - 4:55 AM
Oooooooooooooooh, that last panel cinches it, one of the girls isn't making it out alive.
@que - I think because it's both a weapon AND a souvenir.
47391: KsCoPe - Friday, June 13 2025 - 4:56 AM
@que: probably because of the money: https://www.neorice.com/hoh_tobi_2785
47392: Potatopeelerkind - Friday, June 13 2025 - 5:16 AM
@que Probably because it's made of solid gold.
47393: Tear-a-bite - Friday, June 13 2025 - 5:16 AM
I'm not sure why the players are still so sure their getting money. It kind of seems like there might not be anyone left from Smile to pay them.
47394: cuddlefish - Friday, June 13 2025 - 6:04 AM
@que it's stated right when she picks it up: giant gold statues are worth a *lot* of money. just because she's been *using* it as a weapon doesn't mean that's the only reason she needs it
47396: Nomi - Friday, June 13 2025 - 9:54 AM
@Tear-a-bite
Because they operate in Lorg, they have to give out money to the winners of their "game." It's the only law Lorg enforces zealously. They get away their horribly unethical and illegal experiment with a death game painted over because Lorg doesn't care about the other stuff.
47397: 3 - Friday, June 13 2025 - 10:16 AM
It was stated somewhere quite early on, that one of the contestants has a health condition which will kill them unless they get a certain item which has been removed from them during the game.
Was it revealed who and what that was?
47398: Gobo - Friday, June 13 2025 - 11:25 AM
I need the Tobi/Foxy/Bippy teamup. 3 girls 1 3 go on an adventure together.
Anyways if this isn't the farewell to these two characters for the purposes of the game I'll be very vexed.
47399: Catirate - Friday, June 13 2025 - 11:47 AM
@Daran We don't actually know that, he may just be saying he needs to find someone else because he just used *his* ticket out, thus he needs to find someone else to help use *their* ticket out.
Heusten was the one who could kill anyone.
47400: Melany - Friday, June 13 2025 - 11:53 AM
@Tear-a-bite
Maybe they won't get any money, but maybe they will! Not much harm in bringing it along anyway, at least not for Foxy, who seems to be able to carry it effortlessly.
47401: TaranAlvein - Friday, June 13 2025 - 3:58 PM
Let's not forget that gold is also immune to magic.
47402: noname - Friday, June 13 2025 - 4:04 PM
Goddamn it, Foxy, don't you have a photo of your family in your wallet that you wanna show Bindy while telling her that you're going back to spend the rest of your life taking care of your sick little sister once you've retired after this one last job?
47403: Syhkane - Friday, June 13 2025 - 6:10 PM
@Tear-a-bite I'm pretty sure this is the case. Smile, at least this particular outpost, has probably been wiped. No one is getting a pay day unless these Death Games are insured. They might though, this is Lorg.
Otherwise they have information, and know the location of 4 giant vats of Red Water so that's valuable leverage, or it might make them Global Order targets through Smile now, as the audience we're partially aware they're the same entity.
I'm sure GO doesn't want anyone to know they're Smile, including their own Paladins.
47404: Anon - Friday, June 13 2025 - 7:58 PM
It does raise the question of whether it's actually solid gold, or just gold plated. Smile's been willing to waste unfathomable amounts of money on this experiment (seemingly just to show off?), but entirely gold statues seems excessive even for them.
Wait, and the way out is through an elevator that's keyed for three people? Wasn't the pod's person identification weight-limited too? That could be a problem.
