Mr. Kimberly kind of reminds me of some roleplayers I've played with.
They make a character and take some flaw at character creation, and then feel obligated to make this flaw a focus for their character, even if it's something minor/mundane.
So clearly Mr. Kimberly has taken the "Hates previous job"-flaw and feel compelled to occationally mention that he hates his previous job.
