Gaston does love his little boy parties. I'm surprised he din't do the goodbyes things afore heading to Haven, that was going into actual action, even without taking the nightmares into account.
I feel sorry for that poor eyeless kid in the background. He'll never see again! :(
It seems inevitable that Gaston will try to assassinate another student, so the contingencies do have the positive of effect of discouraging and indeed, complicating his villainous plans.

Well, they're in a new place and Noah's going to get some new acquaintances soon.
I'm expecting standard-blue to be Basic Soldiers. As for the other colours:
- Red-Jacket for Scouts (Noah's incredible Spirit Sensing abilities & Cilla's "All Seeing Eye", as brought up on page 1216 and explained afterwards)
- Green for Defence (Kimberly's Slime that can be solidified & Mable's energy-absorption for later use)
- Purple with Cape for Senior Officers (Jamel's powers sound great, and he was reliable for most of that mission).

@Darius Drake: I agree that the blue shirts are arrow fodder and the red shirts are observation specialists, but I would argue that green is more for strong combatants. And as for purple, well nothing about Jamal screams officer material, let me put it that way. But he did shut down enemy magic users so I'm pretty sure that's why he's a purple shirt.
