So, that means that once the Barnrose staff joins the dots, Noah's basically the only one to match that description. There were not many children in Haven and few joined the Cheryl search team instead of trying to survive math class.
Plausible deniability on the fact that Noah does not know what the heck happened and magic is weird, I guess?
If Veda is still around that's very very bad, she *wanted* that power.

@Straightbackward: For all they know it could have been a third party intervening. Also, she may not have told them. Also, also, there may be more details to come. Like, the nightmares specifically being stopped, but other, potentially useful aspects of her power still being viable.

@Straightbackward The Barnrose staff don't necessarily know what happened based on this wording. Noel says "the last time I heard from her", meaning it could have been a private conversation. They would either have to have been eavesdropping said conversation, or they heard it at some point directly from Chernyl/etc.
