So I'm guessing Held's adventure and the outcome of that experiment never entered public knowledge then. Or they don't think the temples are related?

I imagine Tobi will do the favor and the research will point her to either Zelmeyer, who ran the experiment (assuming he hasn't died of old age), or Held, probably the only one who actively wanted to return after what happened.
