Thing is that I'm sure some of the kids have powers that let them remove those contingencies. Like Felix can probably just card them. Felix has the best power because he's awesome.
(Seriously, it absolutely is an OP capability he has; if he was a bit less thick-headed he'd be unstoppable.)
Effective until most of them defused either by somebody crafty enough, stupidity and incompetence, or plain luck. Probably all of them will be involved sooner or later.
Felix have this "useless" power that can store any item, even door. One student from spy class can teleport items. I think many more of them can easy get rid of these collars easy.

@someone If Felix was smart he'd be in at least spy class. Like he stole various documents about the Veda project early on. His power is great and when combined with spirit training he'd be an even better spy/saboteur/assassin. His power is even better than just storing items because we saw him store attacks for later. He is one of the many examples of a great power being restricted by it belonging to an idiot.
Can't wait for a magic kid to find a workaround and free everyone, resulting in a magic kids vs adults carnage.
What if the staff, military, royal guards, and/or the JSP give conflicting orders? Kinda feels like that would create a situation in which a kid would get their head blown off regardless of what they did?
@Skean: Yeah, you can really see why he's in the basic class alongside Hevel (did nothing of note, bubbled during the cat attack) and Gaston (hospitalised himself, bubbled, murderous intent, had to eye bleed to keep pace with the better students (in all fairness, Nail did call him a spirit prodigy... but if true, that's achieved via eye bleeding (which is bad (or so I'm told)))).
But what class would Windows be in if they knew about his power?
