Don't smile Noah, it doesn't suit you.
(also sorry for the late comment box, was too busy playing botw yesterday lol)
Noah smiling with wide eyes is really unsettling. I can't tell if he's actually pleased or he's fighting the urge to slowly dismember Gazz in the forest and dump the body in the hole.
Noah's pure wanting of not being anywhere apparently manifests itself on the physical plane!
Windows is smiling?!?! Quick Gazz!!! Get to a bunker for the love of all that's lovely!!!!!
Hey, it looks like you can at least occasionally be genuinely nice when you say out loud what you're thinking, Noah!
It seems Mask is the complete opposite of Gazz's personality, though. I wonder if he'll manage it.
...You got botw!? Damn! I was just moping over not having it and probably never getting it! What are the odds? (Pretty good, actually. I'll be doing that for quite a while):P
Gaston's expression in the last panel is, are you freakin serious Noah?
Noah and the guard captain/bandit (from Burk's story - I think his name was Darryl?) have something in common, after all! They both look weird when they smile!
Got a good laugh out of this page.
Oh hey, they're bros :D
Seems like strong emotions tie directly to spirit, legit.
So Noah has it active all the time?
Heh, Gaston's look of shock at Noah not wanting to be there. I wonder if Gaston can actually master that. Seems like the exact opposite of his personality to not want to be someplace with all his being.
That Noah smile though...
Smiles suit everyone. :) Silly ricey.
thats quite the forced smile
Even if Noah's smile was VERY creepy and unsettling as f*c*, it's nice to see him being happy about someone saying something nice. I mean, finally being happy about someone saying something nice.
(Also, a rather late but still very honest "Happy Birthday", Neorice. Loving your work!)
When Noah smiles, a puppy dies. Of heart attack.
That's some Seto Kaiba level of disturbing.
well played sir neorice
Just had to put one ore two pixels on the left side of his mouth, and the smile would look fine. Or were you trying to make it a smirk?
I feel like that last panel summarizes like half of my life.
Also, you got botw! So jelly!! I've saved up money for that too but no time till the end of uni year so... xD Enjoy it lots, Neo!
I would like to see Noah smile some more.I think it looks great on him.
I could not agree more :D
Yeah Noah is smiling. i am so happy. i like it.
also. what Noah says makes absolutly sense.
Is it me or since this traning started Noah became, like, way more strange than before? I mean his reactions doens't even seem vaguely normal (given the stranges of the whole thing ok)
If I had to guess, I'd say Noah's always been like this, but it simply hasn't come to light since all of his recent stress.
It strikes me as fairly likely that Noah is exceedingly depressed, and frankly, it's hard to react normally if you're exceedingly depressed.
I think Noah is trying to be friendly because Ciel thinks it will be "beneficial" to their survival
I think it might be because Noah is socially inept not due to depression though he may have that as well. He is trying to fake either Gaston's or Hevel's personality because he wants to be more likeable but it fails as he doesn't understand it. For example he wasn't trying to be sarcastic last comic when he said good for you, he thought that was what Gaston wanted to hear as Gaston complements other people quite often and obsessively tries to be the best but instead it came off rude. This comic he forced himself to smile and complement Gaston for his kindness because he realized he came off rude the first time he tried. You can see him very carefully choose his words and actions. He started off with his normal facial expression and saying that's (possibly "That's nice" considering how often he comes off rude) but instead decided to take on Hevel's personality using things like geez and slightly strange phrasing with a smile.
