An uncommon weakness.

Oh ... I see!

For those who missed it the other day there's now a discord chat server for Hero oh Hero, check it out:

On one hand, the judge is making a good decision here- letting her live would almost certainly come back to bite him.

On the other hand, if she dies before we get to see her in badass pirate mode, I am going to shit enough bricks to build an entire goddamn WALL between the USA and Mexico.

A-ha! So there IS a weakness to magic, very cool. It all makes sense now.

I feel like the Aristocrat is about to have round 2 with Moe, and this time the Shifter might go all the way.

@Tom
I agree, the Aristocrat seems to be on the verge of irritating Moe.

She is an ambitious, dangerous, and evil criminal. Getting rid of her ASAP makes sense. But story-wise I expect her to survive somehow.
- She was held in secret; so the Mage Baron must have been plotting to use her somehow. And the best way to show off this scheme is to make it unfold; since the Mage Baron is currently indisposed (and so far nobody seems to think the Midas curse can be undone) she has to be around to pull it off.
- I'm being a bit meta with this, but all this fight between secondary characters must have been there to build her up for future confrontations with an actual protagonist. Otherwise I feel like it would have been compressed, the fight could have been skipped entirely, just replaced by a panel of the Judge saying she's dead or something.

So I think she will survive somehow, and because of that I'm more worried about the General and Iron Judge.

Considering some of the other properties of gold, especially its semiconductive properties and inert nature, it makes chemical sense that it would also superbly resist magic.

11591: iceiceice - Wednesday, January 11 2017 - 8:36 AM

How do they know the general is actually free? Maybe it's a ruse, after all, she's not dead yet.

11592: iceiceice - Wednesday, January 11 2017 - 8:38 AM

Actually, I bet she wins now by making the general's sword fly at the judge when he doesn't expect it.

11593: Bisected - Wednesday, January 11 2017 - 8:43 AM

@Pablo360: Does that mean platinum would be even better? :p

11594: Za_blargian - Wednesday, January 11 2017 - 9:20 AM

Looks like she's waking up already. What a toughie.

11595: Saiko - Wednesday, January 11 2017 - 10:21 AM

They should execute her by crushing with a stone boulder or something. Using a metal sword is stupid, considering her powers. Don't they have wooden or obsidian swords? ;)

11596: Saiko - Wednesday, January 11 2017 - 10:22 AM

Also, the aristocrat is damn vain.

11597: A friend - Wednesday, January 11 2017 - 12:47 PM

If gold can counteract magic, what does that mean for mister Midas touch?

11598: alluminox - Wednesday, January 11 2017 - 1:10 PM

Are they calling her girl because she's young or are they talking down to her?

11599: Natemare - Wednesday, January 11 2017 - 10:32 PM

@saiko

... are you referencing "The final empire, mistborn" series?

11600: Saiko - Thursday, January 12 2017 - 8:20 AM

@Natemare
Nope, just a medieval method of torture/execution (with boulders).
