The great escape #3

(this was meant to go here, not on the news page)

Yo, homework hiatus is over; can create new pages again.

Not super much to say, we've dropped quite a bit in rankings due to homework week, hopefully updating will fix that up a bit. :)

I'll look through my art box to see what else I have for future vote incentives, though I hope to work on new pages before I think about stuff like that.

Not much else to say, post on the forums, comment and vote, especially if you love me!

Adios and regards.

Guido Bos

p.s. I've been working on the plot for Noah's story as I have quite a lot of content for both Tobi and Burk done already and it made me realise why I've waited so long to work out his, he's bloody difficult to plan for! bloody bastard.

Wow, poor old Burk's been out...Burked.

Yet another page of pure awesome

This is the page I had been waiting for a week. Pure perfection.

WOOH, GO LACEY!

That guy is awesome. I was so hoping that he would break free, so that we could see his awesomeness.

He's like this series' Kimbley. Sort of. I like his speech pattern :3

@Tom

Kimbley?

1773: Keis - Friday, October 15 2010 - 3:39 AM

@Neoriceisgood

I believe he's referring to the Crimson Alchemist, Zolf Kimbley, from Full Metal Alchemist.

1775: Neoriceisgood - Friday, October 15 2010 - 6:01 AM

@Keis

That's what I was thinking, just wasn't sure.

Confusing line delivery guy is confusing.

x.x Had to read through the comic twice to figure out what was going on with his dialogue.

...Ok, I lied, I still don't get the bit with the ellipsis before finishing the "D'ye neeee-"

1782: Bisected - Friday, October 15 2010 - 10:14 PM

@Fortuna Majoris

I assumed he had to stop to catch his breath or recover from the shock of stopping after landing.

1787: Tom - Saturday, October 16 2010 - 6:20 AM

@Keis - Thanks, I'm glad someone caught the name ^_^

@Neorice - So what say you, Mr. Author? Lacey = Kimbley? Agree or disagree? :3

1788: Neoriceisgood - Saturday, October 16 2010 - 7:04 AM

@Tom-

Partly disagree, there's probably a similar "feel" but Kimbley was far more ...mass-murderous and well ... Kibmley.

I do have Kimbley in my list of good characters to take inspiration from, but he definitely wasn't a -direct- inspiration for Lacey, I have to say.

1790: Tom - Sunday, October 17 2010 - 2:36 AM

@Neorice - A-ha! So you DO have Kimbley in there, somewhere, or at least in "spirit". This is all I needed to know ^_^

It's nice to be able to delve a bit into the author's inspirations, btw.

So... did Lacey throw a string around Cappy's sword hilt? How does that work? It took me quite a few read-throughs before I even realized what that line was, and why the Captain suddenly stopped mid-stab.

1793: Scratch - Monday, October 18 2010 - 6:13 AM

about the sprites, I think the hands are misproportioned quite a bit.
I love Lacey so far, seems cool.

1794: Penguin - Monday, October 18 2010 - 2:48 PM

Well jeez, I didn't even notice that line! Oops. I was trying to figure out what happened there.

1795: Tulio_d_Bard - Tuesday, October 19 2010 - 7:39 AM

You know what would be nice as voting incentive? Alternative pages! You could change, I don't know, the 2-3 last panels of last update, or the dialog... It would be great (and it wouldn't be THAT difficult) xD

@Tom: He could use <a href="http://fox-orian.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2vx881">this</a> meme template to show it to us.

"So... did Lacey throw a string around Cappy's sword hilt? How does that work? It took me quite a few read-throughs before I even realized what that line was, and why the Captain suddenly stopped mid-stab."

Is that what happened here? I have no idea what's going on on this page as a whole. (Didn't see the line at all.) >_>

"about the sprites, I think the hands are misproportioned quite a bit."

Or flipped, vertically, on the pre-stab frames. Due to which the arm looks kinda anatomically impossible.
